Sublimation Prints and Transfers FAQs

How Much Do Sublimation Prints Typically Cost?

Sublimation print costs can vary depending on the number of designs, size, and complexity of the artwork. The sublimation transfers in this collection are highly affordable and come in packs of 8 to 15, making it easy to get multiple ready-to-press designs at a great value.

How Long Do Sublimation Prints Last?

When you apply a sublimation print correctly onto a compatible sublimation blank, the design will be permanent. The design becomes part of the surface material itself, meaning it will not peel, crack, or fade easily over time.

What Are the Limitations of Sublimation Prints?

Sublimation works best on polyester fabrics or polymer-coated surfaces. It does not adhere to cotton or other non-polyester materials, and hard surfaces must have polymer coatings for the design to transfer properly. Even if you’re decorating a stainless steel tumbler, it must feature a polymer-coated surface for sublimation to work. Because of these requirements, you are limited in the types of materials you can use for sublimation projects.

What Equipment Is Needed for Sublimation Prints?

To use sublimation prints, you will need a heat source such as a sublimation heat press or sublimation oven. These tools provide the consistent heat and pressure required to transfer the design onto your blank.
