Can You Sublimate Ceramic?

Ceramic itself is not suitable for sublimation, but ceramic blanks with polymer coatings are designed to accept sublimation ink. You can permanently transfer your eye-catching designs to sublimation ceramic blanks by applying heat and pressure. 

How Long Does It Take to Sublimate Ceramic?

The exact time and temperature settings you’ll need will depend on your specific ceramic blank. If you’re sublimating a ceramic mug using a mug press, press for 400 seconds at 392°F. With a tumbler press, apply heat and pressure to each side for 140 seconds at 356°F. In a sublimation oven, heat for 7-8 minutes at 350-380°F.
